Ted Rose, Partner at Evolution, is a business leader and coach who draws on his personal and professional experiences to serve founders and start-up executives navigating growth.
Ted founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Gravity Renewables, a clean energy company where he raised and deployed hundreds of millions of dollars in equity and debt. He enjoyed a successful exit from the firm in 2020.
After graduating from Harvard College, Ted spent nearly 20 years in business and journalism before founding Gravity. He worked at NBC News and wrote for The New York Times among other outlets. Throughout his career, Ted nurtured a passion for personal growth and fostering effective communication. He led men’s groups, founded workshops and served as editorial consultant for Conscious Business, the seminal book by Google executive Fred Kofman. He spent a number of years living and working at a Buddhist contemplative retreat center in the Rockies.
These days, Ted lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife and two boys, serving on a number of local civic and non-profit boards. He loves to kite surf, play golf and backpack whenever he can.
